Float Values & Wear Conditions
Every CS2 skin is assigned a float value at the moment of drop — a decimal between 0.00 and 1.00 that determines the skin's visual wear condition:
- Factory New (FN): 0.00 – 0.07
- Minimal Wear (MW): 0.07 – 0.15
- Field-Tested (FT): 0.15 – 0.38
- Well-Worn (WW): 0.38 – 0.45
- Battle-Scarred (BS): 0.45 – 1.00
Individual skins have their own float constraints. The AWP | Dragon Lore drops between 0.01 and 0.80, so it is unavailable in Well-Worn or Battle-Scarred. Factory New examples below 0.01 are exceptionally rare and command significant premiums.
