About CS2 Stickers
CS2 stickers are cosmetic items that can be applied to any weapon skin. Each weapon supports up to 5 sticker slots (4 on the body, 1 on the magazine for AKs and similar), allowing personalisation of skin loadouts. Stickers were introduced to CS:GO in 2014 and carried over to Counter-Strike 2.
Stickers come in five quality tiers in ascending rarity: Paper (most common, no special effect), Holographic (rainbow holographic effect), Foil (mirror-foil effect), Glitter (sparkle effect), and Gold/Lenticular (limited tournament releases). Each higher tier carries a significantly lower drop rate from its capsule and commands premium prices on the Steam Community Market.
Frequently Asked Questions
How many stickers are there in CS2?
Counter-Strike 2 contains 10,441 unique stickers as of the latest game update. Stickers are organized into tournament capsules (Major events), Operation capsules, and standalone collections released by Valve Corporation.
What is sticker scraping in CS2?
Sticker scraping is a process that progressively wears down an applied sticker on a weapon. Each scrape removes some of the sticker's surface, eventually removing it entirely. Holographic, Foil, Glitter, Gold, and Lenticular stickers gain visual variation when scraped, creating unique appearance permutations valued by collectors.
How do tournament stickers work?
Tournament stickers are released for each Counter-Strike Major Championship. Players receive Souvenir tokens and players' autograph capsules during tournament viewership, which contain sticker variants representing competing teams and players. After each tournament, 50% of capsule revenue is split between players and organizations.
